What is the Patient Portal?
East Kent Hospitals’ Patient Portal is a secure, online space where you can manage your upcoming appointments, letters and communication preferences.

Patient Portal features
View and manage your upcoming appointments
View your upcoming appointments, including details such as date, time, location and clinician (only for selected clinics).
For most specialities, you can also request to rebook or cancel your appointment.
View your letters and attachments
Choose if you would like to receive your letters digitally or by post.
If you choose to receive letters digitally, you can view your appointment letters and attachments online.
If you sign up to receive letters digitally, you will receive an email when your letter is available. If you choose not to sign up, or sign up at a later date, all letters will continue to be sent in the post.
Tell us about any additional needs
Tell us if you have any additional needs when attending your appointments for example you have a visual or hearing impairment.
You can also tell us if you want your letters to be sent to you in Easy Read, Braille or Large Font.
Who can use the Patient Portal?
Patients must be over 16 years of age to access our patient portal. Under some circumstances, the Trust may be able to grant access to those under the age of 16.
