What is multiple sclerosis (MS)?
MS is the most common neurological disorder among young adults.
MS is usually diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40. Once diagnosed, MS is a life long and variable condition and at the time of diagnosis it cannot be predicted how quickly or severely the disease will progress.
Our aims
The level of impairment and symptoms are unique to each individual and can sometimes be difficult to manage. The MS service aims to empower those affected by providing information, support and advice about the condition, from the time of diagnosis and throughout the disease spectrum, mainly through our MS specialist nurses.
