Change or cancel your appointment

There are a number of ways you can change or cancel your appointment.

 e-referral appointments

If you have been referred to a specialist by your GP and you have an appointment reference number and a password you can change or cancel your appointment via the e-Referral Service website or call 03456 088 888

Appointments booked directly with East Kent Hospitals

If you need to change or cancel an appointment that we have offered you, you can either:

If your appointment is in the next 24 hours: Please ring the phone number shown on your appointment letter as soon as possible.  

Alternatively, please call the main switchboard on 01227 766877. If you do not know which department you need, please ask for the operator and one of our switchboard operators will be happy to assist you.

Failure to provide the exact details may result in your request not being actioned.

Please note: If an appointment is not attended, rebooked or cancelled more than once we may not be able to offer you another appointment and we will discharge you back to your referrer.

If you are cancelling your appointment and have not indicated that you need a further appointment, we will discharge you back to your referrer.

The above electronic form can take up to 24 hours to process, please ring the appointments team to cancel if your appointment is under 24 hours.
