For many volunteers the opportunity to help others and give something back is the main reason they join us. The Trust greatly values the contribution that volunteers make to the patient experience. We will pay agreed travel expenses but we ask volunteers to work at the closest hospital to their home.

You will be offered discount on food and beverages in our restaurants in line with our staff. A parking permit will be issued to you for use on the staff parking areas only.

We will provide relevant training in order for you to provide appropriate help in your volunteering activities. You will also receive regular news either by post or email and also be invited to social events during the year.

What happens next?

Once we have received your completed application form and health risk assessment, you will be invited to a face to face group interview. You will be asked to bring copies of the required evidence for the completion of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
