How to login to Staff Zone

Accessing Staff Zone on a EKHUFT computer or device

If you are using a Trust computer on a Trust site, or an EKHUFT computer connected via VPN, Staff Zone should pop up automatically when you access the internet.

If not, you can find it at https://staff.ekhuft.nhs.uk/

Please note, if you have returned to work from leave other than holiday (i.e. maternity or sickness), your AD login will need to be re-activated. It may take 24-48 hours for the Staff Zone to recognise your login details.

Accessing Staff Zone on a non-EKHUFT computer / personal device

Setting up VPN access

To access Staff Zone from your personal device, you will need to have remote (VPN) access to the EKHUFT network.

To do this, follow the IT Portal instructions for getting started with VPN access.

You'll need to be on a Trust-connected device on-site to view the instructions and complete this setup.

Your VPN access only needs to be setup once. If you already have VPN access, you do not need to repeat this setup.

What you need to login

To login to Staff Zone on a personal device from home, you will need:

  • Your AD login username (the username you use to login to any Trust computer)

  • Access to the Authenticator app you set up for your VPN access

  • Your four digit PIN you created for your VPN access.

Step by step instructions to login from home

  1. Go to https://staff.ekhuft.nhs.uk on your personal device or computer

  2. On the blue “East Kent Hospitals” sign-in screen – enter your AD login username: e.g. William.Bonnie3

  3. The next screen asks for “One Time Password”

  4. Open your Authenticator app you set up for your VPN access, on your mobile device

  5. In the window “One Time password” – enter your four digit PIN you created for your VPN access, PLUS the six digits showing on the Authenticator app as one 10-digit code

  6. Click Submit

Extra tips

The Authenticator app can only be downloaded on to a mobile or tablet. If you’re logging in on a personal laptop or computer, you will need to generate your code on the mobile device and enter your full 10-digit code on the computer.

  • Google Chrome

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Safari (Mac)
