What we do
Our day surgery service is for people who are having small (minor) procedures and do not need to stay in hospital overnight.
Typical operations include:
cataract extractions
hernia repairs
varicose veins
removal of metal plates used following fractures
wisdom teeth extraction
squint surgery
gynaecological procedures
orthopaedic (bone) operations
Laparoscopy (keyhole) surgery
removal of lumps (lipomas), bumps (cysts) and moles.
About your appointment
We do everything we can to make your day surgery as stress-free as possible.
We use comfortable armchairs instead of hospital beds and, for the surgery itself, special movable trolleys that are ideal for both surgery and recovery.
Nurses are here to help if you feel unwell. They can answer any questions you have, before or after your operation. Refreshments are also available following recovery at no charge.
