This privacy notices supplements the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust Privacy Notice.
Personal Information
What data do you collect?
We collect and process the following personal data relating to you:
your email address and mobile phone number
your given name and last name
your address and postcode
your date of birth
your NHS number (and any hospital identifiers used by East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust)
We also collect and process:
your communication preferences (i.e. whether you prefer to receive paper-based or digital letters)
your accessibility preferences (i.e. whether you prefer to receive letters in an accessible format, such as braille)
personal data relating to any nominated / alternative recipients
your age (i.e. to determine whether you are an adult or child) and "Gillick Competence" (i.e. whether a clinician has determined that you should be communicated with as an adult or child irrespective of your age)
We may also collect and process:
audit data and event logs
online identifiers, like your Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
whether you have accessed a letter digitally
The system also keeps a record of the letters and messages we have sent to you.
What do you use this data for?
We use this data to:
enable you to manage your communication and accessibility preferences
enable you to access your letters and messages online
dispatch letters and messages to you in accordance with your preferences
Analytics
Patient Preferencing does not currently use any web analytics.
