What we do

Our audiology team diagnoses and treats hearing problems, tinnitus and balance problems. We also help people of all ages manage their hearing impairments.

Our services include:

  • hearing aid care, including assessments, fittings, rehabilitation and maintenance

  • routine and complex diagnostic hearing assessments

  • specialist audiology clinics, including single sided deafness

  • tinnitus assessment and rehabilitation

  • hyperacusis assessment and rehabilitation

  • hearing therapy for communication and hearing difficulties

  • vestibular assessment and rehabilitation

  • hearing implants (Bone Conduction and Middle Ear) assessment, hearing processor fitting and rehabilitation service

  • complex hearing assessment and rehabilitation

  • New-born Hearing Screening Program diagnostic assessment

  • supporting community hearing and tinnitus groups

  • paediatric to adult transition service.

Hearing aid aftercare

Battery replacement service

Contact us by email or phone to request battery replacement by post.

You can also collect new batteries from reception at:

  • William Harvey Hospital, Ashford

  • Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, Margate

Repair and maintenance

If your hearing aid requires repair or maintenance, you can post your hearing aids at the above address, with your details.

Alternatively, you can leave it in a sealed envelope with your details at reception at:

  • William Harvey Hospital, Ashford

  • Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, Margate

Hearing aid fine-tuning and follow up

We can make minor adjustments virtually depending on your hearing aid model and technology.

Audiology is situated in Clinic C of the Outpatients Department, take a seat and the audiologist will come and collect you for your appointment.

William Harvey Hospital, Kennington Road, Willesborough, Ashford, Kent, TN24 0LZ   
The Audiology reception is situated in Area C of the Outpatients Department; take a seat and the audiologist will come and collect you for your appointment, If your appointment is at the Rotary Suite please make your way to the Ear Nose & Throat reception and knock on the Audiology Room Door.

Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother - St Peters Road, Margate, Kent, CT9 4AN  
Audiology is situated in the Outpatient Department. Please take a seat in Waiting Area D  when you arrive and the audiologist will come and collect you for your appointment.

Buckland Hospital - Coombe Valley Road, Dover, Kent, CT17 0HD  
Audiology is situated in the Outpatients Department, please check in at reception when you arrive and the audiologist will come and collect you for your appointment.

Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone - Radnor Park Avenue, Folkestone, Kent, CT19 5BN   
Audiology is situated in Clinic B of the Outpatients Department. You will need to take the stairs or the lift to level 2 and take a seat and the audiologist will come and collect you for your appointment.

You can be referred to our service by your GP or an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist.
