Contact a wardWhat we do
We offer a range of adult and children ear, nose and throat services including head and neck cancer care. You will be offered an initial outpatient appointment to see the team, who will examine you and carry out some tests. You may need further tests by other departments which could be booked for another day. The team will then decide what treatment you need, which could include an operation.
If you do have head and neck cancer, we will offer you treatment, support and follow-up care. You will be assigned a clinical nurse specialist (key worker) who will be your point of contact for help and support.
About your appointment
If you are not able to attend then please let us know so that we can offer your slot to another person. Due to the complexities of patients that we see, you may have to wait a while after your appointment time before you are seen.

How to use this service
You will need to be referred by your GP, and will then be assessed to see whether you need to be seen in our emergency, cancer, urgent or routine clinics.
If you are referred under our cancer pathway, you will be seen within two weeks of receiving the GP referral for assessment, but you may need further diagnostic tests and possible surgery.
